1 Sing to the LORD a new song,
for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2 The LORD has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3 He has remembered his love
and his faithfulness to the house of Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
4 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the LORD with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn—
shout for joy before the LORD, the King.
7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands,
Let the mountains sing together for joy; 9 let them sing before the LORD,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.
for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.

This is yet another psalm that reminds us to worship and praise God. The interesting thing is that Psalm 98 is divided into 3 stanzas.
The first stanza (v1-3) describes the congregation of God worshipping God.
The second stanza (4-6) describes all the people of the earth worshipping God.
The second stanza (4-6) describes all of creation worshipping God.
Indeed, worshipping God must be a priority in our lives.
Yet, I realised that I can get along the day well without involving God much. I find myself not relying on God's wisdom in my daily life. It's only when things go wrong, then I'm reminded to pray and seek God. That's not prioritizing worship.
A life that prioritizes worship should be one whereby every moment of a person's life, he should be engaging God, talking to Him, sharing with Him his concerns. Lord, help me to become one such person!
Things to ponder
1. Looking at the description above, do you think you have a life that prioritzes worship? Rate yourself 1 to 10.
2. What are some things that stop you from prioritizing worship?
3. Pray for yourself to have a change of heart. Desire a heart of constant worship unto God!
