Psalm 117

1 Praise the LORD, all you nations;
extol him, all you peoples.

2 For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.
Praise the LORD.

This is the shortest chapter in the whole Bible, and the shortest psalm in the book of Psalms. Nevertheless, this is an inspired word from the Lord.

Verse 1 reminds us that the Lord's heart is for ALL the nations to worship Him and praise Him. Not just the Israelites, not just Singaporeans, not just the rich - but everyone!

What are we doing to help bring the gospels to various nations of the world? Some of us may be called to be missionaries. Praise God. Some of us may be called to contribute financially to world-wide missions. Praise God. Some of us may write articles or books to tell other nations about God. Praise God.

My point is this: God's heart is for ALL the nations. We have to do something to help advance His kingdom. There must be something that you and I can do. At the very least, we can pray for other nations. Personally, I want to learn to pray daily for the nation of China. That God's kingdom will come in China.

Things to ponder
1. What have you been doing to share the gospels with other nations?
2. What do you intend to do from now on (with regards to world missions)?
3. Pray and commit to the Lord what you've mentioned. So that ALL the nations will praise Him.
