Psalm 147 "God is a Heart-Searcher"

As I read Psalm 147, two particular verses kept jumping at me.

10 His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of a man;
11 the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.

I'm really thankful that God doesn't choose people based on their talents. He chooses people based on their hearts.

Our God is so wonderful that even if our talents are not that great - we may not be super-smart or super-athletic, yet when our hearts are right with God, He will multiply whatever giftings we have. We'll truly succeed where we are when our hearts are right with God - honor Him, fear Him and trust Him.

Man tend to be more superficial, even great man of God. In 1 Samuel 16:7, the LORD said to Samuel, "The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

For the past few weeks, I felt that my heart seems to be a distant from God. O'Lord, help me draw close to You once again. I can't function alone.
