Psalm 134

A song of ascents.

1 Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD
who minister by night in the house of the LORD.

2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary
and praise the LORD.

3 May the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth,
bless you from Zion.

Last Sunday, Pastor Tommy Tenney preached about having favor with God. His point was simple - since we all need favors, we might as well ask God to show us favors instead of asking man. I mean, if we have God on our side, who or what can stand against us?

And according to his study of the Bible, one key thing that can help us gain favor from God is that we put on garments of praise. Give our best to praise God, even when we don't feel like it.

Psalm 134 may be short, but it does reminds us to praise God (perhaps even if it's at night and we don't feel like it).

I've been bothered and burdened by quite a number of things recently. On some days at home, I really found it hard to praise God. But at least, when I'm in church, I usually give my best even when I feel down. My prayer is that I can praise God even when I'm not in church.

Things to ponder
1. Praise God - what does this phrase means to you personally?
2. What is 3 things you can praise God for?
3. Pray a prayer of praise to Jesus now.
