Darren's Reflection on Psalm 77

Thoughts
This is indeed a long Psalm but after reading it, I felt encouraged as the Psalmist has gone through what we are going through in our walk with God.. For me, I admit that my spirit does run dry at times. I try to seek God but like the Psalmist, my soul refuses to be comforted.

Hopelessness settle in me as if God has left me, but he hasn't and he will never. How can I be so sure? Because I have witnessed his miracles. He helped me through my studies even when it seemed initially that I was failing.

He helped me to grow spritually even when it seemed I was backsliding. All these are just like how he delievered the people of Israel which the Psalmist recognised and remembered.

Applications
As we prepare to go for the Santification Week and work our way to success in our last 2 weeks of 40 day fast and prayer, the devil will bound to tempt us. He'll deceive us by saying we are not worthy to seek God anymore once we have failed.

With this is mind, we need to remember that God helped us even when we have failed him. He has never given up on us, so why should we, especially in seeking him? :)
